Nicollet Avenue-Eat Street

Before the large influx of Hmong immigrants among others, Nicollet Ave had fallen on hard times thanks to the ironically named “urban renewal” policies of decades past. Due to the fact that a good number of businesses that had opened here are restaurants, the city officially  dubbed it, “Eat Street” to attract city residents to this once forgotten corridor and give out of town visitors another place to explore.
