Como is definitely quieter than the neighboring area around U of M and is by and large residential. Even though there’s only a one-block “downtown” at Como and 15th SE you get a nice mix of businesses including a couple of restaurants, a coffeeshop, a hardware store, and a barber shop. There are a couple of additional commercial structures further east, including a Lebanese deli and a couple of bars. It’s at least worth an afternoon to check out. The only thing missing is something in the vacant auto bodyshop space for something people-oriented.
